nThe Road from Orion is a story of magical realism, fictional characters and historical facts, based on an authentic study of signs in ancient Egyptian texts called The Isis Thesis (2004). The semiotic study argues that Egyptian deities are signs for viral and bacterial genes and proteins describing a developmental path for human evolution at death. Backed up by the results of the Human Genome Project, the Human Microbiome Project, and initial studies showing developmental genes switch on at human death, The Road from Orion explains that virus and bacteria in the human body have evolved with us, and they may play a role in the evolution of the human host.
